Nurse practitioner joins J.C. Blair Center
HUNTINGDON– Nurse practitioner Kevin Malicky has been appointed to the J.C. Blair Orthopedic Care Center.
“The addition of Kevin Malicky to our orthopedic team represents the steps we are taking to growing and strengthening our orthopedic program at J.C. Blair,” J.C. Blair president and CEO Jason Hawkins said in a press release.
Malicky worked most recently as an orthopedic nurse practitioner at Tyrone Regional Health System. He has also worked as a nurse practitioner in the J.C. Blair Convenient Care Center since 2013. Malicky has experience in diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care with patients from pediatrics to geriatrics. He also has a background in orthopedic surgery, emergency medicine and hospital medicine.
He earned his nursing degree from The Pennsylvania State University and attended Wheeling Jesuit University, where he received his master’s degree to become a certified family nurse practitioner. Malicky holds numerous other certifications including basic life support, pediatric life support, trauma life support and adult cardiac life support.
“J.C. Blair’s orthopedic surgeons and surgical team are top of the line and I thoroughly enjoy working with them,” Malicky said in a press release. “It’s great to be part of a program that provides such a high level of care to our local community and patients.”
Malicky welcomes new patients at the J.C. Blair Orthopedic Care Center, which is located in the Convenient Care Center in the Giant Plaza.
