Friedman appointed to bank’s board of directors
STATE COLLEGE – William P. Hayes, Chairman and CEO of Kish Bank and Kish Bancorp, has announced that Ed Friedman has been appointed to the Kish Bank Board of Directors. Friedman is the founder of Friedman Real Estate Group, a residential and commercial development company in State College.
“We are pleased to welcome Ed as a member of our Board,” Hayes said. “He has deep roots in central Pennsylvania and shares our commitment to the long-term future of the areas we serve.”
Friedman has participated on many boards and held leadership roles with organizations including the United Way and the Centre County Community Foundation, as well as volunteering his time to Penn State for major fundraising campaigns. With his wife, Charlene, Friedman was the 2012 honoree for the Renaissance Scholarship Fund, granted by Penn State for extraordinary service to Centre County and the university.
A native of State College, Friedman received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Ohio State University, a Master of Business Administration from San Francisco State University, a master’s degree in hotel, restaurant and institutional management from Penn State and is an honors graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law.

Friedman lives on a farm in Boalsburg with his wife, three golden retrievers and a herd of 58 alpacas. In their spare time, they enjoy collecting antique cars, playing golf, tennis and fly fishing.
