Carly Allyson Howard, of Mifflintown, and Christopher Michael Walchak, of Liverpool, were united in marriage on Sept.r 7, 2013, at The Peter Allen House in Dauphin.

The bride is the daughter of Christen Barger, of Mifflintown, and Thomas Howard, of Port Royal, and the granddaughter of Lee and Peggy Weaver, of Mifflintown, and the late Thomas Howard and Sandra Rudy, both of Mifflintown.

The groom is the son of Leo and Donna Walchak, of Liverpool, and the grandson of Jenny Abrachinsky, of Pottsville, and Harold and the late Mae Moyer ,of Collegeville

Melissa Millar was the maid of honor.

The best man was Chason Walchak, brother of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Maddie Treaster, Courtney Miller and Becky Harper.

The flower girls were Sarah Howard, sister of the bride, and Jaycie Walchak, niece of the groom.

Groomsmen were David Snyder, Jeff Kenney and Jeremiah Brackbill, cousin of the bride.

Junior groomsmen were Michael Barger and Thomas Howard, brothers of the bride.

Pastor Ronald Shupe conducted the ceremony that also included: Susan Brackbill, aunt of the bride, as poetry reader; Erin Bell as soloist; and Ruth Hunter as harpist.

A reception followed at The Peter Allen House.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of Juniata High School, a 2010 graduate of South Hills School of Business &Technology and a 2012 graduate of Central Penn College, where she received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. She is employed at Mountain Pure Water Systems as a senior sales manager.

The groom is a 2005 graduate of East Juniata High School and a 2010 graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology, where he received a bachelor’s degree in aviation technology. He is employed with Delta Airlines at BWI as an aviation maintenance technician.

Following a honeymoon to the Dominican Republic, they reside in Dover.
