Mohlers celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
Bob and Paula Mohler, of Huntingdon, are celebrating 50 years of marriage.
They were married on July 21, 1967, at the Newton Hamilton United Methodist Church, Newton Hamilton, by the Rev. Glenn Gearhart.
They settled in Huntingdon in 1988 after Bob retired from 22 years of active duty in the United States Air Force, retiring as a chief master sergeant.
He then began his second career as a maintenance/environmental engineer at the Owens Corning Fiberglass plant in Huntingdon, retiring in 2013.
Paula was employed at the former Penn Central National Bank, Huntingdon.
Bob enjoys golf, fishing and trap shooting. He is a member of the Huntingdon Lions Club.
Reading, gardening and playing cards hold Paula’s interest. She is a member of the Standing Stone Garden Club, serves as secretary of the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania District V and is currently the chairman of the Smokey Bear Woodsy Owl Poster Contest for the state.
They are both members of the 15th Street United Methodist Church in Huntingdon.
Their greatest joy in life is their family. Their daughter, Lisa Oyaski, and husband, Michael, live in Ebensburg. Their son, Eric, and his friend, Michelle Whitsel, reside in Bellwood.
Their grandchildren are: Gordon Dudley, and his wife, Aubrey, Altoona; Gavin Dudley, and wife, Mollie, Johnstown; Caitlin Scott, Mount Union; Mikey and Megan Oyaski, at home. They are also the great-grandparents of Cyrus Drew Dudley.
The couple credits the success of their marriage to love, understanding, tolerance, commitment and friendship.
