Reigles celebrate 50th anniversary

Jim and Sue (DeCrow) Reigle, of Lewistown, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on Aug. 9, 1963, in El Cajon, Calif., by the Rev. R.H. Pressley.

Their anniversary was celebrated in June with a trip to some of their favorite places -Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse. They spent their actual anniversary at Chief Logan Lodge in West Virginia. Their children also surprised them with a weekend together at the Frosty Hollow Bed and Breakfast in Potter County.

They are the parents of Paula Pavone and husband, Fred, of Liverpool, and Greg Reigle and fiancee, April Stephens, of Reedsville.

They have five grandchildren: Cole, Brent, Cortney, Quinn and Tori; and three great-grandchildren, “Dom,” Emma and Riley.

Jim retired after 33 years at Penelec. He served for eight years in the U.S. Navy.

Sue was employed for many years in the health care field.

They are members of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lewistown.

They attribute the success of their marriage to being best friends.
