Nichols celebrate 60th anniversary
Donald (Cork) and Loretta (Reinard) Nichols celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 29.
They were married by Rev. Edmund Watkins at the Highland Park Presbyterian Church.
The special occasion was recently celebrated at an annual family reunion in Lewistown.
They are the parents of four children: Lisa (Mrs. Thomas) Heckman, Lewistown; the late Durke Nichols; Lorene (Mrs. Jeffrey) Hoffnagle, Camp Hill; and Londa Nichols, Pittsburgh.
They have five grandchildren: Courtney Harris, Lititz; Brooke (Mrs. Kerry) Ashby, Delaware, Ohio; Lantz Heckman, Delaware, Ohio; Dane Hoffnagle, Camp Hill; and Rachel Hoffnagle, Voorhees, N.J. They have four great-grandchildren: Turner, Tate and Titus Ashby and Teagan Harris.
Cork retired from AT&T (formerly Bell Telephone) and Loretta retired from Jamesway, and had worked previously as a telephone operator at Bell Telephone.
Cork enjoys working around the house and going for coffee every morning.
Loretta enjoys scrapbooking.
They are members of Trinity United Church of Christ, Lewistown.
