Moyles celebrate 70th anniversary

LEWISTOWN -James D. and Margaret L. Moyle, of Lewistown, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on July 29, 2013.

At the time of their 1943 wedding in Burnham, James, the son of Evelyn and Raymond Moyle, was a proud member of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.

Margaret Swartz, the daughter of Rosie and Frank Swartz, was his bride.

The Moyles are the parents of four children: Kay Emerick and husband, Frank, of Lewistown; Marty Moyle, of Bethlehem; Michael Moyle and wife, MaryEllen, of Lewistown; and Rose Moyle, of Lewistown.

They are the grandparents of Lauren Ollman, Corey Gilbert and Dalton Snare, and step-grandparents of Frank Emerick III.

James retired from the Pennsylvania Game Commission, after a career as a district game protector in Perry and Mifflin counties. He retired as an assistant law enforcement officer from the Southcentral office in Huntingdon.

Margaret assisted her husband with home office duties, and is a homemaker.

They are members of the Lake Park Methodist Church in Lewistown.
